Uflex about to start CI flexo press production

At drupa Italian manufacturer Comiflex has agreed with Uflex Limited to manufacture gearless CI flexo printing presses under a technology transfer agreement with the Uflex. The Indian manufacturer will market and sell these machines across the world.

Comiflex was founded by Gianfranco Nespoli who has more than 50 years of experience in this industry. He is one of the founding members of Flexotecnica that was founded in 1979 .

Uflex eyes 30% revenue from export markets in 3 years

According to media reports, the Indian company Uflex is eyeing 30% revenue from export markets in the upcoming 3 years. Currently, exports are said to account for less than 20% of the total revenue of the packaging business, which accounts for 44% of the total revenue of the company, which is also into production of chemicals, cylinders and holograms and engineering. The company exports products to over 140 countries from its manufacturing units in India, Poland, the US, Mexico, Dubai and Egypt.

Short run press installed in India

The Noida based producer of flexible packaging has sucessfully installed a short run flexo press. The COMEXI FLEXO F2 MB installed at Uflex combines the advances developed in the F4 and F2 models, on basis of the FW. The press is available in printing widths of 870 to 1270 mm, can print of to 8 colours with a repeat length of 800 mm at a max speed of 400 m/min.

Uflex aims at USD 2 billion turnover

According to media, the flexible packaging producer believes to become a USD 2 billion firm in the next 5 years.This is due to a expected growth in both domestic and international markets. Last fiscal, Uflex was a USD 1 billion company, but the president expects to double this number until 2019.
